Boarding for Breast Cancer is a nonprofit organization supporting those with breast cancer. The organization's mission is to espouse early detection, promote a healthy lifestyle to minimize the risk of breast cancer, and to support survivors.
The inspiration for the B4BC Foundation was a young woman named Monica Steward, who lost her battle with breast cancer from complications that arose from a delayed diagnosis. Steward was part of the early snowboard industry; her friends in snowboarding used their platform as a way to raise awareness of the disease among young women.
