The vision for a new Truckee Regional Library has taken a significant step forward with the announcement of a $1 million pledge from a private donor with deep family ties to the community. Truckee's literary scene is flourishing, and at its center is Karen Terrey, the newly appointed Poet Laureate of Nevada County.
