The North Lake Tahoe Resort Association aims to improve opportunities for local businesses by serving as a strong and effective voice.

The group is an offshoot of the North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce, which was founded in 1954. The Chamber joined forces with the North Tahoe Visitors and Convention Bureau in 1995 to become the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association. Since that time, NLTRA has served as the destination marketing organization as well as the chamber of commerce for eastern Placer County and the greater North Lake Tahoe region.
