Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival produces live entertainment for residents of the greater Lake Tahoe area and visitors from around the world, and also provides educational experiences for youth by offering theatrical outreach programs.

Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival got its start in in 1972 at Sugar Pine Point State Park on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. Since 2010, the festival has enjoyed a strategic producing alliance with Idaho Shakespeare Festival in Boise, Idaho and Great Lakes Theater in Cleveland, Ohio. Under the stewardship of its board of directors and festival management, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival mounts its programs in a casual setting on the beach at Sand Harbor for more than 33,000 patrons each summer. And the Showcase Series, featuring the best of the region’s arts and culture organizations, reaches an additional 6,500 patrons. Sand Harbor is located at 2005 Highway 28, Incline Village, NV 89451.
