Tony Barrera has lived in Salinas for about five decades and has been on the City Council since 2006. He told the Salinas Californian that he originally ran in order to improve the quality of life for his constituents. His top priorities are pedestrian and bicyclist safety, ADA compliance, and a balanced budget that aggressively addresses retirement costs.
