First elected in 2016, Yanely Martinez is now serving her second term on the Greenfield City Council. In December 2018, she was appointed mayor pro tem after Greenfield residents threw their support behind her at a council meeting, GreenfieldNews.com reported. Speakers said Martinez was a leader who was “looking to improve the community by reaching out to other councils in the county and encouraging youth to use their voice at council meetings.” The councilmember stays connected to her constituents via her active Facebook page.
