Elected to the Board of Directors in 2018, Christa Finn has lived in Truckee for more than two decades. She and her husband own and operate the Pour House in historic downtown, which has been in business since 2005. They were awarded Small Business of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce in 2018. Christa has also served one year as the president of Mountain High BNI. She and her family have been long-term supporters of local non profits, including Sierra Senior Services and the Watershed Council. They have been volunteer monitors of Alder Creek for more than a decade. She has a bachelor’s degree from Boston College.

The Truckee Donner Public Utility District board of directors met for its April meeting and approved new account management tools for customers, accepted new funding from grants and insurance reimbursement for training and operations, and recognized staff for their hard work, both on the job and at the recent Lineworkers Rodeo.
The Truckee Donner Public Utility District board of directors approved several key initiatives at its March meeting, including approving a power cost adjustment credit to electric customers, a new bill round-up program, an updated MOU with IBEW Local 1245 and adopting a resolution outlining the impacts that federal funding cuts will have locally on wildfire mitigation and readiness.
Truckee Donner Public Utility District was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). The award was for TDPUD's annual comprehensive financial report for the 2023 fiscal year. This is the fourth year in a row that TDPUD has received this award.
The Town of Truckee, Tahoe Truckee Unified School District, Truckee Donner Public Utility District, Tahoe Forest Health System, Truckee Tahoe Airport District, North Tahoe Fire Protection District, the California Highway Patrol and the Truckee Chamber of Commerce are holding the second year of Truckee North Tahoe Tech Teens (TNT Tech Teens), a workforce initiative focused on promoting the diverse range of tech-related jobs available to Truckee and Tahoe students.
Last month, Truckee Donner Public Utility District's board of directors approved the creation of the TDPUD Future Workforce Scholarship Program. The scholarships target both college-bound high school seniors and local students interested in pursuing the trade and vocational skills that make electric and water utilities function.
