The Sustainability Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the Auburn City Council on issues related to sustainability and the environment. Its work entails taking inventory of the city's efforts to promote and achieve sustainability, including the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, as well as actions taken by other jurisdictions in and around Placer County. Members identify and recommend available external funding sources for new sustainability improvements, and perform other tasks as directed by the council.
