Donna Silva won a second term as city treasurer in 2020. A licensed CPA, she has performed independent audits and worked as finance director for several government agencies. She was named CFO of the year in 2011 by the Sacramento Business Journal for her work leading the City of Rancho Cordova through the Great Recession. In her 2016 campaign statement, Silva wrote, “I know government finance, it's what I do, and I love what I do! As Auburn's treasurer I will ensure that our city's assets (cash, investments, etc.) are properly safeguarded with a good system of internal controls. I will provide oversight ensuring our tax dollars are appropriately spent, providing us with critical government services, such as roads and public safety.”
