Councilmember Hung Wei


Elected to the Cupertino City Council in November 2020, Hung Wei was born and raised in Taiwan. After graduating from UCLA, she moved to the Bay Area with her husband, Ta-Wei Chien, in 1981, residing first in west San Jose and then moving to Cupertino in 1990. 


Alma maters: National Taiwan University (bachelor’s degree, foreign languages and literature); UCLA (master’s degree, English as a Second Language).
