The town manager provides overall administration, leadership, and direction. The manager is also responsible for human resources, finance, budgeting, purchasing, labor relations, public information, and technology services.

The office's responsibilities include the following:
• Organizational and fiscal management efforts and program development and evaluation processes.
• Preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets.
• Staff support to the mayor and Town Council.
• Oversight of the Town Council agenda process.
• Building relationships with the business community through the Town Economic Vitality program
• Addressing citizen complaints, inquiries, and requests.
• Working with key organizations to respond to proposed state and federal legislation.
