The Boys and Girls Club provides quality out-of-school programs in the North Lake Tahoe area. Its mission is to inspire and empower all youth to reach for their full potential.
Hosting brick-and-mortar clubs in Truckee, Kings Beach, and Incline Village, the Boys & Girls Club chapters in North Lake Tahoe provide a safe haven for kids outside of school hours. The club’s fun, structured environment has created a refuge for kids since 1998 and continues to engage and facilitate a positive environment for around 1,800 young people per year.
Its Great Futures Start Here Impact Formula is simple: Take young people and add an outcome-driven club experience consisting of regular attendance, targeted programs, and high-yield activities, and that equates to academic success, developing good character, and living healthier lifestyles.
COVID-19 has been an especially challenging time for working parents who are trying to accommodate kids on a distance-learning model, and this is where the club has really excelled. It offers a full-day program at its Kings Beach and Truckee locations where volunteers provide meals and educational support for students in grades K-12 who are enrolled in the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District. In Incline Village, the club provides an after-school program for children in grades K-5.

At the Truckee Tahoe Airport District Board meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 4, directors reviewed and approved several important resolutions, recognized community partners, and discussed a variety of projects aimed at enhancing fire safety, STEM education, and local infrastructure.
The Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe is proud to be a recipient of a grant from the Community Impact Fund, the Foresight Fund, the Gap Fund, and the Human Fund held at the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation. This generous grant will support BGCNLT's Teen Programming across the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee communities.
