South Lake Tahoe City Treasurer David Olivo first successfully ran for the office in 2009 and most recently won the June 2022 primary.

The city treasurer invests public funds in a prudent manner that provides maximum security while meeting daily cash flow demands and conforming to all statutes governing the investment of public funds. Within these parameters, funds are invested to optimize investment return.

Educated at the University of San Francisco, Olivo is a Certified Public Accountant who has been a partner in South Lake Tahoe accounting firm Olivo, Zicko & Co. since 1978.
