City of Salinas City Council Councilmember Steve McShane

Steve McShane is now serving his third term on the Salinas City Council. He has been active in Rotary and the boards of Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity and the Salinas Police Commission. He is owner and general manager at McShane’s Nursery & Landscape Supply in Salinas and a partner in Converted Organics in Gonzales. In 2020, McShane ran an unsuccessful campaign for Monterey County’s District 4 supervisorial seat. “By my stats, I walked more than 250 miles, with a mask and hand sanitizer and 10 feet from people’s doors,” he told Monterey County Weekly.
