The Truckee Donner Public Utility District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors, elected by the voters in the district to serve staggered four-year terms. The Truckee Donner Public Utility District, a cornerstone of the local community, capped 2024 with a series of significant achievements, laying the groundwork for a sustainable and resilient future. General Manager Brian Wright walked the Sun through a comprehensive look at the district's accomplishments, challenges, and aspirations, highlighting its role as a locally governed nonprofit dedicated to meeting the unique needs of Truckee residents.
At Truckee Donner Public Utility District's Nov. 6 board of directors meeting, the board approved the submission of the 2023 Power Source Disclosure Report and Power Content Label, and approved agreements for leases in Truckee Regional Park to enable the development of the new Truckee Library and Rocker Memorial Skate Park.
Voters in Nevada County will elect or re-elect three board members to the Truckee Donner Public Utilities District board this November.
Truckee Donner Public Utility District named a newly-built water pump station the Joseph "Joe" R. Aguera Pump Station, in recognition of Aguera's 37 years of commendable service.
