The Finance Department provides key internal services to all departments, employees, and to external customers. These services include utility billing, purchasing, information technology and risk management. This integration of key administrative functions is designed to reduce overhead costs, increase efficiency, and provide effective customer service.

The Finance Department also provides a general information counter that handles questions through the city’s main telephone number. Other items that are handled at this counter include purchase of bus passes, copies of city documents, hydrant meter rentals, and city-wide mail distribution.
