The Engineering Department is focused on projects and programs primarily in the public right-of-way or associated with public facilities. The team manages and executes capital improvement projects that enhance public safety, improve quality of life, and expand economic development. Recently the Engineering Department has been developing a programmatic approach to replacing the city’s water distribution and sewer collection systems, and rehabilitating city streets.

The Construction Management Division inspects the installation of infrastructure for development projects and oversees any work that is performed within the public right-of-way for both capital improvement projects and work being performed by private developers or by utility companies.
