The city manager is responsible for carrying out the policies and programs enacted by the Lincoln City Council. As chief executive in charge of all city services, the city manager must find a balance between the desired level of municipal services and the available revenue to pay for those services. The city manager’s office administers personnel functions, public information activities, economic development initiatives, and records management operations. Additional responsibilities include serving as the executive director of the Redevelopment Agency and the Lincoln Public Financing Authority.
