Before being elected to the Los Gatos Town Council in 2014, Marico Sayoc operated on a national stage in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of International Affairs. Next she worked in program management for the Natural Resources Defense Council. In her official biography, Sayoc says she enjoys representing Los Gatos in regional and state policy issues. She also serves as vice president of the League of California Cities, Peninsula Division, and second vice president of the Cities Association of Santa Clara County.

A woman who tried to get a permanent restraining order against the husband of a current Los Gatos Council member lost her legal bid.
It was oddly quiet in the Santa Clara County Superior courtroom Tuesday, as Jeffrey Scott prepared for the start of the civil harassment trial against him, brought by frequent civic disruptor Cyndi Sheehan.
