The district supplies 5,524 sewer connections and and 3,828 metered water connections to the communities on the north shore of Lake Tahoe, from Crystal Bay to Dollar Hill, including Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Brockway Vista, Carnelian Bay, Cedar Flat and Agate Bay.

Starting in 1968, when North Tahoe's Recreation and Parks Department was established, the district has also managed and maintained most of the public beaches in its service area, along with the North Tahoe Regional Park in Tahoe Vista. The district also owns and manages the North Tahoe Event Center.
