The Public Art Committee consists of a minimum of five and a maximum of nine members, with appointees chosen from different geographical areas whenever possible. Four members are need for a quorum. Members find or create appropriate art for display, propose appropriate sites and research what funds may be required to acquire the artwork. Then, applications for new public art, including site suggestions, go to the City Council for approval. The committee also maintains a record of all installed and displayed works of art, including such materials as artist statements and donor information.
Meetings are held in the Parks and Recreation Building, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, on the second Monday of the month at 6 p.m.
