Alyssa Silhi and her husband moved to Lincoln in 2010 to raise a family, attracted by its small-town charm, quality education, and open spaces. When she ran for council in 2018, she had a decade of experience in legislative and governmental affairs at the state level, with a focus on education, healthcare, public health, public safety, and small-business issues. Silhi believes her most important role is serving the needs of Lincoln’s citizens. As mayor in 2021, she faced the COVID-19 pandemic head on. As she told Gold Country Media, “I don’t think we have begun to see what the real fallout is because so many have held in hope that they are just going to be able to make it through and then it just keeps on going.”

First elected: November 2018

Alma maters: UC Davis (bachelor's degree, English and communication)

Other positions held: Previously on the Economic Development Committee

Notable quote: “Lincoln has a lot of small businesses and we don’t have a lot of big box stores,” Silhi said. “We have a lot of local owners, local shops, local places and my main priority is making sure that they are still here in a year and doing what we can to support them.” (Source: Gold Country Media)
