A longtime resident of Lincoln, Paul Joiner has owned and operated Joiner Graphics—a graphic design, illustration and animation business—since 1981. He got his start in city government when he was appointed to the Lincoln Planning Commission in 2006. He successfully ran for Lincoln City Council two years later, and then won again in 2012, 2016 and 2020.

It’s the holiday season once more, and downtown Lincoln will again come alive with a parade and tree lighting.The thousands of Lincoln and area residents who attend the event will see significant improvements this year. Most importantly, the former one-day event will be split into two distinct programs: the tree-lighting ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 5, and the Hometown Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec 7.
Voters will decide between four candidates for one open seat on the Lincoln City Council within District 3 on Election Day, Nov. 5.
