Karen Coleman first successfully ran for the Treasurer-Tax Collector office in 2018. Her qualifications, according to LinkedIn, include 20 years of public service accounting.
“I am honored to serve as your Treasurer-Tax Collector,” Coleman says in her message. “You have entrusted me with significant responsibility and I take my oath of office seriously.” Coleman served as the assistant treasurer-tax collector prior to winning the seat in 2018 and won the June 2022 primary.
Coleman has two master’s degrees from National University in business administration and accounting.
