A fourth-generation Californian, Sue Novasel was born and raised in Salinas. Living in the area for more than 40 years, she has served on many Lake Tahoe boards and commissions. These include the Lake Tahoe Unified School District, Lake Tahoe Community College Foundation, Tahoe Chamber of Commerce, and Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe. She earned her associate’s degree from Lake Tahoe Community College and a bachelor’s in business with an emphasis on marketing and finance from the University of Nevada Reno.
