In response to community requests, the County will explore allowing residents to live semi-permanently or permanently in recreational vehicles (RVs) or other alternative housing types on private property.

The Board of Supervisors is continuing to focus on furthering eight priority objectives for fiscal year 2025/2026, reflecting the community's top needs. After listening to feedback from Truckee residents, the Board of Supervisors canceled plans Tuesday for supportive housing for people experiencing homelessness in Truckee.
